in the beginning of year 2004, the first line was put into operation on 29th of July, 2005.

Bridge overall crossing length including road approaches is 1524 m, the

length of the bridge is 835 m. The bridge is divided into two parts – cable-stayed span with length of 315 m and the scaffold bridge with length of 516 m. As per project the bridge includes six traffic ways (three to each direction) and the sidewalks. The width of the traffic way is 3,5 m.

«Millennium» has connected residential micro-districts of Kazan situated on the left

and right banks of the Kazanka River. The bridge became a component part of a small Kazan ring with the help of which traffic flows in the central part of Tatarstan capital have been reduced. The pass-through function of the new bridge is 10-15 thousand motorcars per day.

Pillar in the shape of «M» letter (standing for „Millennium“) with height of 42

m and width of about 17 m unites the whole structure. It will eternalize the Kazan Millennium for further generations. The letter „M“ is not just an element of decoration of a compound engineering building, but its basic part. Pillar’s weight is more than 600 tones.
