Monument to King Albert I is the War Memorial,

which is located in the town of Nivport, Belgium. It is located near the old town, on the right bank of the river Yser. The monument was erected in the year 1938 in honor of King Albert I and Belgian troops who participated in the first world war. The architect of the Memorial became Julien de Ridder.

Оно вошло в английский язык благодаря знаменитому стихотворению "In Flanders Fields" Джона МакКрея, канадского военного врача, воевавшего на Западном фронте. Стихотворение было написано МакКреем в 1915 г. после похорон его друга, погибшего во Второй битве за Ипрский выступ, и сразу же приобрело огромную популярность.
