What is Jessup?

Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is

the oldest (since 1959)
and the most prestigious law competition
uniting thousands of law students from
over 550 law schools of more than 80 countries.
Each year is devoted to a hypothetical legal dispute between states raising topical issues of public international law, which are addressed by students via oral and written pleadings.
Competition is composed of two stages: national rounds and international rounds held in Washington, DC, United States of America.
