Our university is one of

the oldest universities in the Volga region. It has a rich history and established traditions. Today it is more than 20 thousand students and teachers. All of them are patriots of their university, rooting for it’s fate. “Polytech is always the first!”. The staff of Samara State Technical University works and studies under this motto in the XXI century. It was founded in 1914. In the beginning it was called Samara Polytechnic Institute. In 1934, several educational institutions merged. As a result, the Middle Volga Industrial Institute was formed.

Methods of oil extraction:
The primary method is that oil comes from the reservoir under the action of natural forces that maintain high pressure in the reservoir, for example, the replacement of oil with groundwater, the expansion of gases dissolved in oil, etc.
Secondary method – after the natural resource of pressure support has been exhausted, when it is no longer sufficient to lift oil, the use of secondary methods begins.
The tertiary method is one of the methods of oil production that increase the productivity of oil wells. It is carried out by artificially changing the physico-chemical properties of oil.
