Michael Faraday is an English scientist, famous for his research in
the field of magnetism and electric current. Each of his discoveries advanced science one step further and, as a result, led to electricity, a computer and many essential things of modern life. Michael Faraday was born on September 22, 1791 in the village of Newington Butts near London, in the family of a blacksmith. The family lived amicably, but in need, so at the age of 13, Michael, after leaving school, began working as a messenger in a London bookstore owned by a French emigrant Ribot. After a probationary period, he became an apprentice bookbinder.
