Red River Hogs. They have coarse, bright red fur, black legs, ear tufts and a stripe of white running down their spines – which makes them the most striking of the 16 species of wild pigs.Red river hogs are social animals, and live in groups called sounders which can consist of up to 20 members.

of time in the water, they can’t swim and their bodies are too dense to stay afloat.Unlike the common hippo, whose eyes are at the top of their heads, the eyes of the pygmy hippo are on the sides of their heads. Their toes are also not webbed like their larger cousins.
