Monument to Dmitry Mendeleev is a monument

to the chemist, discoverer of the periodic law, Dmitry Mendeleev. It was installed in 1953 in front of the building of the Faculty of Chemistry of Moscow State University. The sculptor of the monument was Andrei Bembel, and the architect was Lev Rudnev.

sitting in an unbuttoned coat. His hands are in his lap, one of them is holding a book. The statue is placed on a granite pedestal with a commemorative inscription: "Dmitry Ivanovich Mendeleev 1834-1907".
