Biography
Alexis Karrel was born in 28 of June, 1873 near Lyon.
His

father, Alexis Carrel-Billiard and mother, Anna Maria.
The first education that Carrel received was religious.
He graduated from the medical faculty of the University of Lyons, in 1900 received a doctorate in medicine. From 1900 to 1902 he taught anatomy at the university, from 1902 he began to develop methods for stitching blood vessels.
