a topic. They consist of:
An introduction -presenting the topic without giving the opinion.
A main body in which you state the arguments for and against the issue in the separate paragraphs. Each argument is supported with justifications and examples.
A conclusion giving your opinion. For –and-against essays are normally formal. Short sentences, colloquial expressions and idioms should be avoided.
They can be found in articles, in newspapers / magazines and in school assignments
