For over 24 years the Department has been preparing students of

journalism department to work in print and audiovisual media (newspapers, magazines, television, radio, news agencies), in publishing, advertising services, PR agencies.

The department does research projects, because of the interest in the

activities of modern media (evolution of the system and social functions) and the study of modern literary process (the poetics of literary dialogue in the literary process of the twentieth century).

Teaching staff of the Department actively performs in local and national

scientific press, participate in scientific forums.

But the students also published in journals such as the newspaper "Breeze" and the student’s newspaper «Status-VO». Also three students make funny and informative reports about events that are taken First snow and Student’s spring. Their channel is called «Cold Soda»(or «pohodilli»)
