New year & Christmas winter holidays

to see (V2) the New Year in (at home, outside, with… listen to the speech of the President, a chime of bells, to make wishes…), to have (V2) fun;
- to put (V2) up a New Year tree and decorate it with colourful toys, glass balls, tinsel; draw (V2) the NY cards;
to cook (eat(V2) a lot of delicious dishes (tasty food);
put (V2) presents under the New Year tree; to buy (V2), give (V2), get (V2) presents.
The atmosphere of the holiday is fantastic.
We celebrate the beginning of the New Year, leave everything bad behind, make New Year resolutions and hope for the best, set off fireworks.
