 His renowned work, the “Charak Samhita“, is considered as an encyclopedia of Ayurveda. His principles, diagnoses, and cures retain their potency and truth even after a couple of millennia.
Acharya Charak revealed through his innate genius and enquiries the facts on human anatomy, embryology, pharmacology, blood circulation and diseases like diabetes, tuberculosis, heart disease, etc.

CHARAKA CLUB IN NEW YORK

The Charaka Club was started in 1898,

founded by four doctors- Charles. L. Dana, Joseph Colleirs, Fedrick Petterson and Barnad Sachs.
It was in the eighth meeting of the club that the name Charaka was adopted for the club when in a paper presented by Barnard Sachs- it was mentioned that Charaka was one of the oldest scholar associated with medicine.
