1.Aim
The European Academy of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (EAAIC) should become a reference and standard for all the countries.
2. The EAAIC should be presented in the board (one member should be from EAAIC)
3. Make a map about the ESA educational activities and facilities on the homepage to make orientation and choice of trainees and specialists easier. A so called "Educational training tree" with explanation of abbreviations would be needed.
This educational training tree could be translated to the language of the national societies, could be sent to them, so that they can put it on the homepage and even lectures could be presented about the ESA educational activities at the conferences of the national societies.
4. Non-ESA members could also be participants at the educational facilities of the ESA but for fee. Affiliate members probably for a reduced fee. ESA members would take part for a reduced fee or free. In this way the advantage of being an ESA member is emphasized but still many people (not just ESA members) could participate at the different courses, trainings.
5. Further preparation course for EDA would be needed.
Preparation for Part I -basic science course is great but not enough. Refresher courses for Part II would be needed. A 3 year long educational package would be a good idea: this could contain
1) clinical practice courses,
2) on hands workshops,
3) congresses,
4) the basic science course,
5) and reference books from which the candidate could prepare for the exam.
The EDA examiners would also need a training course.
6. E-learning service can be installed for ESA members with on-line evaluation and feedback.
7. New masterclasses would be of interest.
8. Future: unification and clarification of educational projects. Single projects and initiatives should get closer to the EAAIC main project and could be synchronised with it.
Європейська академія анестезіології та інтенсивної терапії (EAAIC) повинна стати орієнтиром і стандартом для всіх країн.
