Collective unconscious
The collective unconscious is a concept of Jung's analytical psychology, denoting a set of universal unconscious mental structures, mechanisms, archetypes, instincts, impulses, images, etc. inherited by people, transmitted from generation to generation as a substrate of mental being, including the mental experience of previous generations. Jung believed that at the moment of strong love, we encounter our own internal archetypes.
